avi's adventures

Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade; And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. William Ernest Henley.

Happy belated Rosh Chodesh Adar

Let's sing it together!!!

You all know the song.....Meeshe Neechnas Adar Marbim B'Simcha!!!

So this month is a joyous one, now is it? Makes sense. Mr. Nathaniel Bouganim will wed this Sunday evening in Montreal. Nat and myself went to Hebrew Academy together for many, many years. Following my rule (if I was at his Bar Mitzvah, I'll be at his wedding), I look forward to re-connecting with other alums from the class of '79, errrrr, I mean '96.

What else to celebrate? Well, Israel Week hits Queen's on Monday, with unbelievable programs, parties and information. Has there ever been a better time to be a Zionist? I think not...

Less than 3 weeks until Spring officially arrives. And with this new season comes hopes for the Summer months.....hopes of Israel, of camp and of golf.

Or how about Queen's Hillel's first ever semi-formal? The Bar Mitzvah Bash '06 will prove to be a real throw back to those good ole days of Bar/Bat Mitzvah-hood.

Meeshe Neechnas Adar Marbim B'Simcha?

Well, it sure seems so, doesn't it?
