avi's adventures

Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade; And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. William Ernest Henley.

Shabbat Shalom

This past week was spent in Tel Aviv, and by Tel Aviv I mean the biggest outdoor sauna in the world. The words "hot" and "sticky" have no meaning for me anymore. Even after 3 showers a day and 3 changes of clothing, I still went to bed every night sticking to my sheets. Now the group is up north by the Kinneret for Shabbat, and with less than 80 hours before I fly home, the mood is still upbeat and everyone's having a grand ol' time.

Can't wait to get home, yet I don't want to leave...weird no?

Crazy shit going down here...I'm sure you've seen the news. Also, heard about the Air France fiasco at Pearson...I will never, ever fly Air France...they are cursed. Cursed by G-d for all time.

Now that I have someone reading over my shoulder as I type, I wish you all a great Shabbos and send my best....

Peace
