Another Good Shabbos
As the program winds to a close, I am very pleased with the level of participation and knowledge gained by most participants. It is unfortunate, though, that some students have not applied themselves properly, and have not taken advantage of this unbelievable opportunity. It is a sad state of affairs. I remember what my participation on Hasbara Fellowships did for me not only as an Israel activist and a Jew, but in the way I approach everyday life. And for these handful of students who only want to satisfy their ethereal, material superficialities, my time, money and resources have been wasted. Y'know the saying 'one apple spoils the bunch'? I think that old adage applies to this group very well.
On a brighter note, I am happy with the response from my previous post and, as such, I will write more about Israel and my own philosophical ideas on the world state of affairs. While I know I am no expert, I do feel that I can help shed some light on the topics that interest me (and hopefully you as well).
That's it for now...I'm going to enjoy a 'cafe hafuch' in the Old City before Shabbos finally arrives.
Good shabbos to all...may it be restful, spiritual and happy!!!
